NHS Hertfordshire and Mid Essex Talking Therapies is an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Service, part of Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. They deliver psychological therapies to those over the age of 16 years, registered with a GP in Hertfordshire.
NHS Hertfordshire and Mid Essex Talking Therapies offer free, confidential talking therapy and practical support for people experiencing a wide range of very common emotional difficulties such as, anxiety, worry, low mood, depression and stress. They also provide support for carers and people who are struggling with the reality of living with long term physical health conditions. The service can provide help too if you are experiencing anxiety or low mood during or after pregnancy.
Many of the options offered are based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which is an evidence based psychological therapy. CBT can help make sense of our problems by looking at the way we think, and the way we react to situations. Through their support, you can learn skills and techniques to help manage how you feel, helping you feel better and more in control.
A Well-Being Programme has been created by Families First and is an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Service, part of Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. This programme provides psychological therapies to those over the age of 16 years who are registered with a GP in Hertfordshire to help with emotional difficulties and anxieties and includes four face to face meetings and four telephone consultations.
