Patients/Visitors are advised Helix Medical Centre will be closed from 1.30pm on the below dates: 

• Wednesday 10th April 2024
• Thursday 9th May 2024
• Tuesday 4th June 2024
• Thursday 5th September 2024
• Tuesday 8th October 2024
• Wednesday 6th November 2024
• Thursday 9th January 2025
• Tuesday 4th February 2025
• Wednesday 4th March 2025 

This is to enable mandatory staff training to take place as per Hertfordshire & West Essex Integrated Care Board guidance.

If you have a medical emergency during this period, Herts Urgent Care NHS call handlers will do their best to assist.

Our answer phone can provide patients with relevant details.

Only patients with pre booked appointments should ‘check in’ at the screen & take a seat in the waiting area after 1.30pm, whereby the GP, Nurse or Midwife will collect you.  

No other patients will be seen.

For all other queries, phones lines re open at 5.30pm.

Normal service will resume at 8am the following day.
