Use of AI-Powered Medical Scribe
At Helix Medical Centre, we are always looking for ways to improve your experience with us. To help achieve this, we are in the process of introducing Anima Scribe, an AI-powered medical scribe that assists our clinicians in documenting consultations.
Anima Scribe enables our healthcare professionals to spend more time focusing on you during appointments, enhancing communication and ensuring your visit is accurately and efficiently recorded in your medical records.
The purpose is to provide automated cloud-based real-time transcription services that convert audio recordings from patient consultations into accurate text transcriptions with suggested clinical codes appended.
This helps to support the provision of direct care by maintaining accurate patient records within the practice, recording all communications with the patient as part of their consultations is necessary.
How is my data managed by Anima?
Anima fully complies with UK data protection laws, including the Data Protection Act, GDPR, and NHS standards such as DCB0129, DTAC, and the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT). This means your personal information is kept secure and confidential.
All data is hosted within the UK to meet local data protection regulations. Audio recordings made during your consultation are used solely to create notes and are not stored permanently — they are processed and then automatically deleted to protect your privacy.
Opting Out
Anima Scribe will be used for clinical consultations at our practice. If you prefer not to have your consultation documented using this technology, please inform the clinician at your appointment.
